Stunning expression bringing together Japanese techniques and Italian quality. A sparkling Pinot Noir wine, produced using the Charmat method and housed in a bottle decorated using Japanese art techniques.
Bottega Miabi is crafted using pure Pinot Noir grapes from the banks of the Po river in Lombardy, vinified using the same method as Prosecco. However, where it differs from most Prosecco (apart from the grape variety) is that it undergoes an extended ageing on the lees (the spent yeast) for three months. During this time, the lees are regularly stirred up adding creaminess, yeastiness and texture to the wine. The result is a rich and velvety sparkling wine cut with notes of crusty baguette, frangipane, lemon zest, golden apple, apricot sorbet and orchard blossom.
The stunning bottle, in its chic gift box, is inspired by a Japanese decorative technique called “dyed obi”, which is used to create the stunning belts worn around kimonos. This makes Bottega Miabi both visually and stylistically perfect for pairing with the refined flavours of raw fish, rice dishes, tempura, soba noodles and aemono. Kanpai!
